Once built, the patio quickly becomes a favourite holiday destination for all family members. It serves as protection from rain and scorching sunlight, while allowing you to comfortably talk, read, drink tea or take time off to think. Variants of arbours and patio covers

The whole variety of patios can be divided into several groups. They are different:

By construction. Open patio are the most common variant, built in most cases from wood. Closed patio are characterized by solid walls, glazed openings, a door and sometimes a stove (fireplace). Live patios attract romantic individuals and are formed by a framework framed by curly or specially cut plants. Large patio barbecues are gaining popularity; their essential attribute is a fireplace or a chargrill.

In the shape of the base. There are patios with round (rotundas), square (rectangular), oval or multifaceted base.

By the method of erection. Patios can be built with or without foundation; there are portable varieties (wedding).

According to the material. The choice of material is unlimited.Thinking than to cover the patio at the cottage, more often consider such materials as wood, stone, metal, plastic. It is possible to meet a patio woven from willow rods or artificial rattan.

In style. Classical variations are Greek, Roman and Renaissance style.

According to the shape and style, the patio covers can be shaped:

Single gable. This roof is mounted on four-wall structures. Multilevel opposite walls serve as the basis for an inclined rafter system; the slope faces the windward side.

Two-sided. Ideal for rectangular patios. Depending on the project, the rafter system will be inclined (rafters have an intermediate support point in the middle part) or hanging (no intermediate supports).

A four-pillar system. Rooftops can be 4 triangles converging at one point. If a structure consists of 2 triangles and 2 trapezes, it is called a hip. The base of the four-piece roof is a rectangle, on which rafters are laid either diagonally or diagonally.

Shatra room. A favorite variant in private construction, consisting of 5 or more triangular elements fastened with one top. The rafter system is similar to that used for four-pillar roofs. The hipped version is suitable for round and polygonal patios.

Exotic. There are roofs in colourful oriental style: Chinese or Japanese (tiered, with inwardly curved ribs). Patio are decorated with domed, round and bell-shaped roofs; multilevel and asymmetrical structures are mounted.
